How to use them

Numbers first, conversation second

The calculators do the maths. Peter does the part a calculator can't — lender policy, structure, and what actually gets approved.

STEP 1

Pick the question you're asking

Buying, refinancing, investing or planning — choose the tool that matches where you're at. Nothing you enter runs a credit check.

STEP 2

Get your indicative numbers

Results are estimates based on what you enter and typical lender assumptions. Some tools can email you a summary to keep.

STEP 3

Pressure-test them with Peter

Peter checks your figures against real policy across a panel of 30+ lenders and maps out the structure — typically at no cost to you.

Questions

About these calculators

Do these run a credit check?
No. Nothing on this page runs a credit check or leaves an enquiry on your credit file. They're modelling tools — you enter figures, they do the maths.
How accurate are the results?
They're indicative estimates based on the figures you enter and typical lender assumptions. Every lender assesses income, expenses and existing commitments differently, so your actual borrowing power, rate and repayments will vary. Treat the output as a starting point, not an approval.
Which one should I start with?
Buying your first home? Start with borrowing capacity, then the funding worksheet, then the budget planner — that sequence is set up as a guided path in our first home buyer toolkit. Already own a property? Start with refinance feasibility or equity unlock.
What happens to the details I enter?
The calculators are provided through LS Broker and linked to Peter's broker account. If you choose to enter your name and contact details to receive your results, they come through to Peter so he can follow up, and they're handled under our Privacy Policy. If you don't enter contact details, no one contacts you.
Is this financial or credit advice?
No. These tools provide general information and indicative estimates only. They don't take your full circumstances into account and are not a recommendation to take out or vary any credit product. When we provide credit assistance we act in your best interests under our Best Interests Duty — and that starts with a conversation, not a calculator.
Can I use these on my phone?
Yes — every tool on this page works on mobile. If a calculator feels cramped, rotate to landscape or open it on a larger screen for the detailed tables.
